We did Laptops & Looms in the summer of 2011 in Cromford in Derbyshire. Specifically at Arkwright's Mill.

It grew out of a few ideas that had been running round my head for a while - could we do something outside a city? could we talk about Making? could we imagine ways that the mills of the Derwent Valley could be useful again - not just turned into discount outlets?

It was an experiment. Good people like Dan, Toby and Greg helped organise it. I think about 30 people came. I think it sort of worked.
